Objective:

Ensure our communities, green networks and infrastructure are adaptable to a changing climate and reduce the risks and vulnerability to unavoidable impacts.

Why take action?

The experience of recent years has shown us that climate change and extreme weather events have already impacted many aspects of our natural environment and our society, including buildings and property, health, agriculture, forestry, transport, water resources and energy demand.

Climate Resilience concerns how we adjust these aspects to the impacts of climate change. This will require changes in processes, practices, and structures to moderate potential damages or to benefit from opportunities associated with climate change. Dundee will need to develop adaptation solutions and implement actions to respond to the impacts of climate change that are already happening, as well as prepare for future impacts.
